My webcam is not detected

If WeVideo is unable to detect your webcam or permission is not granted, you will not be able to use the recording functionality.
Here are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Test your webcam at http://webcamera.io/
If you are able to view your webcam, Google Chrome can access your camera. If not, there is something blocking Chrome's access.

Step 2: Restart Chrome
It's possible for Chrome to lose access to your webcam. This can often be fixed by simply restarting Chrome.

Step 3: Try an incognito window or disable all extensions
Generally, an incognito window has many extensions disabled by default, which provides a good way to troubleshoot the issue in case there is something blocking the permission check. Alternatively, disabling all installed extensions and trying again may resolve the issue.

Step 4: Restart your computer
Sometimes software/patches installed on your device can disrupt webcam access until a restart.

Step 5: Check with your organization for device policies
Managed devices could have policies set that restrict access for webcam outside of a whitelist or completely. Please contact the provider or manager of your device to look into the permissions/policy.
