Integrating WeVideo with your Schoology LMS

Read the instructions below to integrate WeVideo into your Schoology system using LTI.

Step 1: Sign up for a WeVideo for Education account. You will not be able to use Schoology integration with a personal plan (free, power, unlimited etc.).

Step 2: Contact to request Schoology keys

Step 3: Add the WeVideo app in Schoology

a)  A system admin in the Schoology account should go to

b) Click "Install LTI APP" then select "Add to organization"

c) You should be redirected to a list of your organization's apps. Click the "Configure" button for the WeVideo app and enter the consumer key and secret from step #2 before saving. (Be sure to check that you do not have any spaces before or after the key/secret)

Step 4: Add WeVideo to a course

a)  Navigate to the course where you want to add WeVideo

b) Click the "Install Your App(s)" link in the lower left corner, and select WeVideo. Click "Submit" and WeVideo should show up in the course menu on the left side

Now you are ready to start using WeVideo within Schoology. As a teacher, ensure that you have a valid assignment with a future due date configured for the course. As a student, you will be able to launch WeVideo and upon finishing an edit, there will be a “Schoology” destination that will allow you to choose an assignment via dropdown to submit the finished export to.

As a teacher, you will be able to see the assignment submission and start to view and grade it.

Note: We filter out non published assignments, non available assignments and assignments with a due date before the current time. These assignments will not appear in the dropdown.

When you launch WeVideo through Schoology, all of the same features from retain. If you require assistance in setting up your WeVideo for Education account, please reference our knowledge base.

If you already have existing student accounts in WeVideo created through other methods such as Google sync, csv import, or invite link, the account accessed via Schoology will be the same account as long as the email addresses match. If there is no match, a new account will be created instead when launching the integration.
